After being kept under wraps for more than a century, a hand-written recipe for Coca-Cola has been found. The recipe was one of the best kept secrets in the world of business, but now the secret is out.

Luckily for Coca-Cola, this secret probably won’t hurt their brand, since it is so clearly established world-wide.

But what if you’re a company that holds important secrets that give you an advantage over your competition?

How can you recapture your “uniqueness”?

One piece of business advice we tell our customers is to find their points of difference, what makes them different from their competition.

This is a great way of establishing value to customers and building loyalty and a unique, “top-secret” recipe certainly fits the bill.

    Implementing an out of the box franchise idea that is better than the competition is what establishing “uniqueness” is all about. Trade secrets need to be kept hidden else you give an advantage to your competition.
